Village Cafe - Fayetteville: Reviews & Ratings
This is a great lil restaurant! The staff is super friendly and accomodating, and the food is excellent! We tried the Chicken Diavolo and the Chicken Marsala, and both were exceptional. The seasoning was spot on for both the main dishes and the sides, and there wasn't a single thing that wasn't perfectly cooked and presented. I definitely recommend stopping by for a nice meal!
The restaurant is so cute and quiet. The food was very delicious. I came for lunch around 1:30 and left right at 3, only problem i had was that i was charged dinner prices during their lunch hours, It’s fine though!
I went today to try it out. It was excellent. The calamari for appetizer was not chewy. The salmon was a little over cooked on the end but the rest of it was excellent. I enjoyed the spinach and mash potatoes. Derek was an excellent waiter. Ask for him when you go. The atmosphere was relaxed.
I walked in after a long day of work passing through this town and the hostess abruptly said “we don’t allow outside food or drinks” I was holding a water bottle. It was pretty rude and she could have been a little friendly in her delivery even if they have “rules”. Please, the place was dead, I was sitting at the bar and it seems very casual in there but think they are trying to be upscale. Food is just fine, when a place has a menu that big they don’t do anything spectacular. The bartender was attentive and friendly. The entire place seems stuck in the early 2000’s and needs a renovation and the hostess could welcome people a little better, pretty sure that’s the job description lol. I don’t think I’d have written a review if she hadn’t made me irritated.
The food was amazing. My server was fantastic! She was attentive and respectful. The music and atmosphere was great!
The Party of six in my party enjoyed the food we were served. Our server was Wick or Chadwick. The owner even assisted with our service. Our drinks were two glasses of Moscato, Sweet Tea and Waters. Our Appetizers were Fried Onion Rings and Pan Fried Spicy Calamari. Our entrees were 2 Mom's Lasagna, 2 Chicken Diavolos, Pecan Grilled Chicken, and New Orleans Cajun Pasta(seafood). Everyone left the Village Cafe well fed and totally pleased. I will be going back!!!
The owner Eric is VERY knowledgeable about his products and where they come from. The world peace cocktail is light and refreshing! Eric is open, honest, and transparent about his practices and food. The MUSSELS are PHENOMENAL! Spicy the broth is light and balanced! The surf and turf? Get outta hea! The lobster is cooked perfectly and the steak? Needs no knife! Hidden menu item creme brulee donut or cinnamon churro lava cake ask for Eric!
